Gangrels Match

This was a very close match with good curling on both sides. The two games were peeled going into the last end and any one of the 4 skips had a chance of walking away with the trophy. It was Tarbolton that stole shots in the last ends to win the match. Colin presented the trophy to Willie, who was 3 shots up.

Paterson Horn

This year's challengers were from Troon Portland. Half-way through the match, Tarbolton rinks were 5-1 up in two games and 6-1 up in the other. However the challengers came back strongly to make it a narrow win to Tarbolton in each game.

The Grudge Match

Carlos and Alan took to the ice with their motley crews for their seemingly annual grudge match. Carlos won 12-4. Has that settled the grudge or just left it to fester until next year? Watch this page...

Dr Morris

It was a close contest, with peels, +1, +2, and Niall Mackie's rink won with +3. Results...

League

Robert Struthers has won the league (again) with one game to go. Tables...

Kyle & Carrick

Tarbolton rinks skipped by George Hunter and Gordon Johnstone lost by wide margins to K & C. Adam Prentice came out best in a tighter game against Alec Murray. Looking on the bright side, there were plenty of sandwiches and scones.

Ross Low

Robert's rink lost to Ayr and Alloway in the semifinal, with Graham Boyd playing an excellent draw through a narrow port (or a very lucky one) to steal one in the last end. A&A went on to lose convincingly to Dundonald in the final.

League

Robert Struthers needs a peel or a win to tie up the league (and could win on ends without either). Results...

Mixed

Semifinals: Robert Struthers v. Adam Prentice; Martha McFadzean v. Billy Wells. Details...

Sorn

This year the Tarbolton ladies turned up and, even more surprising, both Tarbolton rinks won. Robert Struthers beat Jim Bryson 7-6, and Jim McFadzean beat Jack Kennedy 8-7.

Tarbolton rinks:

Robert Struthers, Robbie McFadzean, Helen Duncan, Elaine Drummond.

Jim McFadzean, George Hunter, Shona Brown, Helen Stevenson.

Seconds' KO

Stuart Bates' rink beat Colin Craig's 10-3. There are no photographs, sadly. More...

Ross Low

Robert Struther's rink won against Troon Portland on 29th November and goes through to the semifinal.. Results...

John Thomson Rosebowl

There were only seven rinks in this two-day individual-entry competition. David McClure and Ian Wilkie were in the winning rink, skipped by Jack Kennedy.

Maple Leaf Bonspiel

Robert Struthers has secured his place at the closing day by skipping the winning rink in the Maple Leaf Bonspiel.

Mixed

Martha McFadzean is the winner of group B and Adam Prentice runner-up. Results.

Day League B

We have played three, won two, lost one. Results ...

Finnie Kettle

Tarbolton won the Finnie Kettle. We tied with Dundonald on shots up and won on ends.

The winning rink was: Adam Prentice, Willie Morton, David McClure, Ian Wilkie.

Amended draws

Reid Logan resigned from the club. Based on the AGM ballots, the committee made the following promotions:

John Wylie to skip, taking the place of Reid Logan in the draws.

Niall Mackie to third, taking the place of John Wylie in the draws.

Carlos van Heddegem to second, taking the place of Niall Mackie in the draws.

There is a vacancy for a lead, which the committee will endeavour to fill before the season begins.
